In: Savremena Poljoprivreda v. 42, no. 4, p. 82-8695-009615Summary: The process of silage leads towards increasing of protein solubility, and increasing of digestibility of all other nutrients and increasing of energy density. Feeding the pigs with such corn gives higher daily gains. At the same time the FCR (feed conversion) is lower. Higher energy content of such feed causes increasing of fat content and relatively decrease of meat percentage in the carcass. All the results obtained indicate a superiority of using the feed preserved in such way. Besides, the process of silage gives the final product which is not contaminated with any kind of microbes
