This publication contains the proceedings of the First Eastern, Central and Southern Africa Regional Maize Workshop, held in Lusaka, Zambia, on 10-17 March, 1985, and sponsored by the Government of Zambia and CIMMYT. It includes 13 contributed papers and 18 situation reports on maize production and research in participant countries, including Angola, Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Reunion, Burundi, Rwanda, Zaire, Somalia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
