Samples of small grain cereals and grasses with and without barley yellow dwarf-like symptoms were sent to Purdue University where they were screened by ELISA. The results indicated the presence of PAV-, MAV-, and RPV-like isolates of BYDV. PAV-like isolates were the most common type, and were present in all the sampled areas.
