In: Agrochimica v. 24, no. 5-6, p. 443-44982-766291Summary: In hybrid maize plants, variety H6/78, grown in a glasshouse, we have studied the variations of the PS (dry weight), PF (fresh weight) and H(,2)O in different parts of the plant, in three vegetative states: flowering, fructification and ripening. The contribution of the leaves to the PF and PS of the aerial part, decreases according to the plant's age. The maximum value of the PF of the aerial part is obtained at fructification, while it is at ripening for the PS. Both stalk and leaves stop their development as fructification begins
