520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Two-dimensional electrophoretic analysis of C-hordein fractions from 6 cultivars with different alleles at the Hor1 locus (Hor1Pr, Ar, Ke, Ju, Ho and So) showed extensive polymorphism. A total of 34 major polypeptides were identified, with 4-18 present in each cultivar. For each cultivar, 6-10 restriction fragments of genomic DNA hybridized to a cDNA clone related to C- hordein;the total number of restriction fragments was 22, and most pairs of cultivars had more restriction fragments than polypeptides in common. There wereestimated to be 20-30 C-hordein genes per haploid genome. It is concluded that cultivars differ mainly in the extent of gene and
