520 _aThe major purpose of the study was to determine and describe intercropping study in jackfruit cultivation and to explore the relationships of the growers' eleven selected characteristics with their adoption of intercropping. Required data was collected from a sample of 100 growers selected randomly by the researcher himself by interviewing the growers with the help of pre-tested interview schedule. The findings indicated that 100 percent of jackfruit growers intercropped with turmeric, pineapple, bringal, acacia and sugarcane in jackfruit field as a common practice. During the cultivation they habe to found some problems where extreme damage caused by the man, rat, brid, fox etc. in jackfruit was indicated as major constrains.
