520 | _aThe 18th International Spring Wheat Yield Nursery (ISWYN) was sent in September 1981 to be grown by cooperators in their spring season of 1982. One hundred nurseries went to cooperators in 70 countries. The 50 advanced lines and varieties included in the nursery had been chosen from among CIMMYT's best materials and nominations from plant breeders in different parts of the world. All had been grown and observed under a high yield environment with pressure from major diseases on the CIANO (Centro de Investigaciones Agricolas del Noroeste) Experiment Station in the Yaqui Valley in northwest Mexico.
