520 _aRobust relationships were observed between in-season GreenSeeker? optical sensorbased estimates of yield at Feekes 5-6 and 7-8 growth stages and actual wheat yields. Sensor-guided fertilizer N applications resulted in high yield levels and high N use effiiency. Application of 90 kg N/ha at planting, or in two equal doses at planting and crown root initiation stage, were appropriate prescriptive fertilizer N management options before applying a corrective GreenSeeker guided fertilizer N dose for the Indo-Gangetic Plains (IGP) in northwest India.
