520 | _aStudies of Puccinia sorhgi Schw, where started in 1918 at La Fayette, Ind., in cooperation with the Division of Cereal Crops and Diseases. A large number of inbred lines of corn were made available for study of rust reactions, and from these a number of liones of the Golden Glow, Golden Rod, and Howling Mob varieties were found to contain individuals highly resistant to the culture of rust uses (9). Such resistant individuals were selected and inbred. From them lines have been developed that are homozygous for resistance to the rust used. | ||
