520 | _aResponse of ten varieties of barley to different rates of N fertilizer was studied as fertilizer was added at rates of 0,2,4 and 8 kg/d. as ammonium sulfate. Biological yield, grain and straw yields increased with increase of N levels. Best response of different yield components was obtained at 4kg N/d. Yield of Beecher and local variety showed high response to the higher N level 8kg.N/d. An increase of 105.7 and 90.7 kg. was obtained from both varieties respectively. Varieties as Composite Cross 89 and CR-336-11312 outyielded others in their grain production. An amount of 244.8 and 222.6 kg. was obtained from both varieties. Varieties | ||
