520 | _aThe phenomenon of light-enhanced dark CO2 fixation was used to examine the changes in reactions of CO2 fixation in maize leaves caused by phosphorus deficiency. The relation between the size of CO2 acceptor pool and carboxylation rate was investigated in leaves with nearly 50 decreased phosphorus content but with unchanged photosynthesis rate. The results indicated in vivo the enhancement of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylation in maize leaves in the early stages of phosphorus deficiency | ||
