An assessment of the homoeology of six Agropyron intermedium chromosomes added to wheat
Material type: ArticleLanguage: En Publication details: 1987Subject(s): In: Genetical Research v. 50, no. 2, p. 91-97615020Summary: Six Triticum aestivum cv. Vilmorin 27 X A. intermedium [Elymus hispidus] addition lines are described on the basis of phenotype and biochemical markers. An assessment of the homoeology of each addition chromosome is presented. Data on chromosome morphology, plant phenotype, isoenzyme and protein content for each of the lines are compared with those from other members of the Triticeae and other Triticum aestivum addition lines containing alien chromosomes. The comparisons are consistent, from which it is concluded that addition lines L1, L2, L3, L4, L5 and L7 carry Agropyron chromosomes belonging to homoeologous groups 7, 3, 1, 4, 5 and 6, respectively;Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Copy number | Status | Date due | Barcode | Item holds | |
