Summaries (Ar, En) N2 - Botanical composition of the natural vegetation was evaluated at Muwaqqer at about 150 mm rainfall in 1986/87 and at Daba'a Range Reserve at 145.8 mm rainfall in 1987. Number of individuals, cover percentage, plant height, frequency percentage, abundance and density increased at Muwaqqer in 87 compared to the previous season due to better environmental conditions, and a second year of protection from grazing. The adaptability of some local and introduced forage cultivars for improving the natural vegetation of the Muwaqqer area was tested. Eight forage cultivars were evaluated under three supplementary water regimes - 0, 120 mm and 240 mm - in ER -
