N2  - This workshop on agricultural research in Latin America and the Caribbean was held in CIMMYT, Mexico on September 10-12, 1984, and sponsored by Inter-American Development Bank (BID) and CIMMYT. In the course of the workshop, six papers were presented and discussed, analyzing trends in production, consumption, and trade of the main agricultural products of the region, investments to strengthen agricultural research, agricultural research characteristics, on-farm research, and development of research and human resources in biotechnology.
