Summaries (En, Pl, Ru) N2 - The inheritance of nitrate reductase activity (NR) was studied in 6-day-old seedlings of spring barley. Twenty doubled haploid lines, F1 and F2 hybrids as well as the parental forms were used for the studies. On the basis of performed calculations it has been found that the level of NR activity in the leaves and roots was determined by the additive and nonadditive gene action (dominance and nonalleilic interaction heterozygous loci). A genetic analysis has shown that the parental forms differed by three genes or groups of linked genes in the parents. It is suggested that the occurrence of transgressive lines may be related with association (+) or (-) alleles T2 - Genetica Polonica (Poland). Polish Journal of Theoretical and Applied Genetics.
