Summaries (En, Ja) N2 - An efficient method for the production of wheat doubled haploid (DH) plants through wheat x maize crosses was developed. The treatment of auxins was considered to be essential to the development of wheat haploid embryos. Time of pollination and age of the embryos appeared to be critical for the efficiency of the production of wheat DH lines. All the wheat varieties examined produced haploid embryos which is considered to be superior to other DH systems, like anther culture and the Hordeum bulbosum system. Although spontaneous variation was detected in a certain number of DH lines derived from the system developed, the extent of the T2 - Bulletin of the National Institute of Agrobiological Resources ER -
