Summaries (Ar, En) N2 - The alleopathic effect of Cheopodium murale L. was studied under laboratory and glasshouse conditions. Water extracts of shoots and roots inhibited germination and growth of wheat and barley seedlings in Petri dishes. Low extract concentration enhanced shoot and root growth of wheat. Shoot extracts were more inhibitory to seedlings than root extracts, and extracts of fresh plants showed greater harmful effect than those from dried plants. Leachates of shoots and roots drastically reduced germination and growth of barley. The inhibitory effect was proportional to extract or leachate concentration. None of the wheat or barley lines tested were T2 - Dirasat ER -
