Summaries (De, En) N2 - By use of biotechnical procedures the monogenic resistance to BaYMV could successfully be incorporated in German barley varieties within 3 years. The response in tissue culture depended predominantly on the genotype. By incorporation of varieties with high regeneration capacity and by optimizing the culture conditions the success rate (expressed as number of double haploid, DH lines per number of plated anthers) could be increased. To avoid narrowing the genetic variability, backcrosses with responsive varieties are more recommendable than other combinations. It is necessary to increase the level of BaYMV resistance by addition of genes from T2 - Gesunde Pflanzen ER -
