PY - 1984/// KW - Climatic change KW - Environmental conditions KW - Farm inputs KW - Food production KW - Innovation adoption KW - AGROVOC KW - Plant production KW - Statistical analysis KW - Technology transfer KW - Uttar pradesh N2 - The study examined: (1) the relationship between average size of holding andproductivity of the total food crop; (2) the impact of new farming on their productivity; and (3) the impact of each input on productivity. It was found that the new farming, which had not initially been able to make an impression inthe agricultural sector of Chamoli district, due to the many social and institutional constraints, began to establish itself from 1980 onwards. Investment in all inputs needs to be accelerated, with particular attention to irrigation. More emphasis should be laid on high altitude farming and extension facilities should also be strengthened T2 - Agricultural Situation in India ER -
