TI - Levels of productivity of wheat crop in different agro-climatic zones in Himachal Pradesh PY - 1984/// KW - Climatic zones KW - Himachal pradesh KW - Soil types KW - Statistical analysis KW - Yield factors KW - Wheat KW - AGROVOC N1 - Tables N2 - The study estimates the yield per ha of wheat in the three agro-climate zones of Himachal Pradesh: low (below 3000 ft) mid (3000-5000 ft) and high hills(above 5000 ft), to determine levels of productivity in different soils and climatic conditions. For all the 3 years of the study (1979/80-1981/82), productivity of unirrigated wheat was highest in the mid-hills, followed by the low hills, and was lowest in the high hills. The yield of irrigated wheat was highest in the low hills and fell as altitude increased. The difference in yieldrates was due to soil characteristics and climatic conditions in the different agro-climatic zones T2 - Agricultural Situation in India ER -
