N2  - The results of this study do not support the view that the trend in food grains production or total agricultural production (production in value terms atconstant prices) has been stagnant or has declined during the past few years. Nor does it confirm that the productivity of food grains or the value productivity of agricultural commodities per ha has been stagnant or has declined during this period.
