This publication is a compilation of abstracts of grassroots research on agricultural biodiversity. It is the collective effort of Rajeev Khedkar, Palash Baral, Dr. Daniel Buckles, Farida Akhter and Farhad Mazhar. Rajeev Khedkar and Palash Baral visited most of the organisations mentioned in the publication and drafted many of the abstracts. Information and abstracts were also compilated from the initial period of the Using Agricultural Diversity Research Award project (UADRA) chaired by Professor S.K. Sinha and administered by SRISTI from 1996 to 1998. I wish to express my deep appreciation for the support received from Professor Anil Gupta in this regard.
