The purpose of the Handbook of Agricultural Statistics is to provide the officers of the Ministry of Agriculture a compendium of key statistics that they require in their day to day activities. The intention is that this book will be used by policy planners and other officers involved in planning and associated with implementing and monitoring projects and activities related to agriculture. The Handbook is an effort of the Sector Monitoring Unit under Ministry of Agriculture. The Sector Monitoring Unit will produce updates to the Handbook on an annual basis and would appreciate comments and suggestions from all users in order that it may be improved and made more receptive to the Ministry's needs.
