Transgenic maize confers resistance to asiatic corn borer, ostrinia furnacalis guenee

Highly resistant reaction to foliar damage by the borer throughout the three infestation periods was observed on the transgenic plants compared to an equivalent non -Bt hybrid and a local check variety, Supersweet corn.
