4 fig.; 6 tables. Summary (En)
A split-split plot design was used, with moldboard and chisel followed by sweeping as main treatments, and unweeded fallow, disk harrow, duck foot and spike tooth harrow as sub treatments, each split into two sub-sub treatments: fertilized and unfertilized. Results indicated that fallowing by duck foot or spike tooth harrow for weed control ended with higher soil moisture content, 427; 426 mm, than disk harrow or unweeded fallow treatments, 392; 331 mm. Soil moisture storage due to rainfall after fallow was decreased as the soil moisture content at the end of the fallow period had increased. However, no significant differences in soil moisture
