Through this investigation incidence of foot rot and root rot of wheat at tillering and milking stages in rainfed areas of the Punjab and NWFP was recorded. The disease ranged from 2.08-33.04% (av. 17.56%) in Punjab and 7.4-31.9% (av. 19.69%) in NWFP. The fungal species isolated were Drechslera sorokiniana, Fusarium oxysporum, F. orseum var. equisiti, F. solani, Phoma glomerata and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum.
