Experiment was conducted at the N.W.F.P. Agriculture University, Peshawar to test maize cultivars against maize aphid from July to October, 1990. Varietal trial showed that aphid on different maize cultivars ranged from 0 to 200 aphids/plant with a mean range of 3.42 to 42 aphids/plant during the season. Hari showed a maximum aphid density (42.17 per plant) followed by Sarhad white (29.99), Ihsan (27.24), Dehqan (23.36), Azam (21.42), Shaheen (14.16), EV-I (10.93). Gohar showed the least density (3.42). Gohar and Hari both were statistically different from all the other cultivars. Ihsan showed statistical similarity to Sarhad White, Dehqan and Azam. Shaheen And EV-I were statistically similar to each other
