Arkansas Farm Research v. 9, no. 4, p. 2Summary: Ace is a reselection made in the spring of 1954 by the senior author from the T1123-3 line of wheat. He had selected T1123-3 in the spring of 1949 from a small F4 population grown from seed of the ross 1123 received from J.W. Taylor of the U.S, Dept. of Agriculture, who made the original cross. The new wheat was derived from a cross of (W38-III. 1-Hope) x Purplestraw-Thatcher-Steinweidel x Leap x Trumbull-Red Wonder x T. timopheevi x Chancellor.
