The effects of different nutrients (N, P, K and Ca) on yield and some other agronomic traits of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) were studied. The varieties were highly affected by different doses of nitrogen. The varieties gave better performances in moderate doses of nitrogen compared to no nitrogen and the higher doses of nitrogen. Of the different nutrients singly and in combination, N had the highest effect on seed yield/plant and plant height, whereas the effect of P was the highest in ear length and spikelet number/ear. K and Ca had no positive effect on any of the characters studied. The varieties interacted significantly with the
