Summary (En)
The paper considers the structure of individual estate proprietorship in SFRY. It has changed slowly, in prolonged intervals. Large estates include larger areas under meadows, grazing fields, woods and woodlands, and smaller areas of cultivable land, particularly plowed fields, gardens and vineyards, and they are more suitable for livestock breeding. The structure of proprietorship is important for mechanization of estates. At large estates, per unit consumption of mineral fertilizers is lower. The role of the public sector is more pronounced. Large estates have more household members and greater labour force with less people employed at other places.
