  • Sowing term and rate and nitrogen fertilization of spring wheat. 1. The effects on grain yield
Subject(s): DDC classification:
  • 83-889579
In: Pamietnik Pulawski no. 75, p. 45-58. Released - 198283-889579Summary: Objective of the study was to determine the effects of two sowing terms (early and late), two sowing rates (4,5 and 6,0 mln grains/ha), and four nitrogen fertilization rates (0, 80, 120 and 160 kg/ha N) on grain yields of two spring wheat varieties (Alfa and Kolibri) grown on a field which was previously cropped to either cereals or root crops. No interaction was found in the studied varieties between time and rate of sowing and N fertilization. Late sowing strongly reduced grain yields in both varieties. Spring wheat responded with maximum yields to N rate of 80 kg/ha. (author)
