Monoclonal antibodies against corn stunt spiroplasma
Material type: ArticleLanguage: En Publication details: 1985Subject(s): In: Canadian Journal of Microbiology v. 31, no. 10, p. 900-904617574Summary: Antibodies were produced by fusing NS-1/1-Ag4-1 murine myeloma cells with splenic cells from mice immunized with maize stunt spiroplasma (I-747). Isotypeswere determined to be IgG1 or IgG2a subclass. Antibody titres were 800-3200 for hybridoma culture supernatants and 312 500 - 7 812 400 for ascitic fluids. In serological specificity studies, with ELISA, 32 spiroplasma strs. belonging to 19 different serogroups were tested using both maize stunt spiroplasma monoclonal antibodies and conventionally produced polyclonal antibodies.
