The programme was found to have had a significant impact in motivating a large number of farmers to adopt improved practices for wheat and rice cultivation and in helping them to raise their yields, thus leading to increased incomes. Socio-personal characteristics of the beneficiaries were found to play a significant role in acceptance of recommended farm practices.
