Anthracnose stalk rot (ASR), caused by Colletotrichum graminicola (Ces.) Wils, and European corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis Hubner) first generation (ECB1) and second generation (ECB2), are two of the principal causes of reduction in maize yields in the United States. In this study, quantitative trait loci (QTL) significantly affecting resistance to ASR, ECB1, and ECB2 were identified with the assistance of restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) and simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. |
