Summary, etc. The purpose of this report is to evaluate the potential contributions of atomic energy to agriculture and food production, and to indicate the programming requirements and priorities appropriate to the various applications of atomic energy according to the economic situation and level of technological development existing within various countries. Accordingly it has been prepared in the form of a general review of potentialities, with the aim of providing a basis for policy decisions that will have to be taken by food and agricultural administrations, for use specially in countries that have so for had only limited experience in atomic energy matters.
