General note Summary (En)
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Seed crop production aims at maximising yield and quality. It is little different to grain production for smallholder farmers and few specialise in the production of seed. When seed is produced, the crop and/or variety is chosen on the basis of simplicity of production and individual farm needs. Difficult seed production locks up resources. Traditional techniques do exist and should be recorded and made known. Improvements in techniques on a scale appropriate for use by the smallholder farmer are still possible
