Para cualquier cultivo, el entendimiento de los eventos fenologicos es lmportante porque establece el marco temporal donde se forma el rendimiento y sus componentes. El maiz es una Planta anual, y determinada con los eventos cardinales de la germinacion, la iniciacion floral, la floracion y la madurez fisiologica.
