This detailed documentary shows how scientists from the Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) in collaboration with CIMMYT and the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture conducted the first open quarantine for Bt maize trial in Kenya. The purpose of this project dubbed IRMA (Insect Resistance Maize for Africa) is aimed towards increasing maize production and food security through the development and deployment of insect resistant maize.
