Microbiological activity in soil under wheat grown after sugar beet
Govedarica, M.
Microbiological activity in soil under wheat grown after sugar beet - 1995 - Printed
6 tables; 20 ref. Summaries (En, Sr)
Samples of soil under wheat grown after sugar beet were analyzed for microbiological activity. The number and enzymic activity of microorganisms depended on location, depth, and date of sampling. The total number of microorganisms: number of ammonifiers, azotobacters, and oligonitrophilic bacteria; and activity of the enzymes dehydrogenase, urease, and protease decreased on soil on which the wheat crop was yellow. In such soil, the number of fungi, actinomycetes, and denitrifying and ureolytic microorganisms increased. In deeper layers, the number and enzymic activity of microorganisms decreased, being highest in the first and lowest in the second sampling
