Peer-review: Yes - Open Access: Yes|http://science.thomsonreuters.com/cgi-bin/jrnlst/jlresults.cgi?PC=MASTER&ISSN=0011-183X

Information on pedigree, grain yield, standability, 50% silking, grain texture, plant height and resistance to diseases (Bipolaris maydis [Cochliobolus heterostrophus], Puccinia polysora and Fusarium moniliforme [Gibberella fujikuroi]) is tabulated for 21 parental inbred lines of maize (PI595551 to PI595571) developed by CIMMYT in Mexico. The lines were derived from tropical yellow maize germplasm and have dent or flint kernels. The source germplasms were CIMMYT maize populations and gene pools. All the lines have shown high yield potential (>3 t/ha under lowland tropical conditions in Mexico) and good general combining ability
