The future of agricultural information transfer: human and institutional aspects - 1983 - Printed
Summaries (En, Es, Fr)
A young person, planning a career in agricultural information, should first obtain some qualification or experience in agriculture, and only then learn the techniques of information handling. This order of priority is accepted by organizations recruiting staff for agricultural extension. It is not universally accepted by organizations recruiting staff for agricultural documentation and library work, and indeed may be challenged by some of the information professionals. However, the trend is in this direction and young people would be well advised to follow it. In information work today, the information worker must have dialogue with the user.
