Symptom expression due to barley yellow dwarf virus in oats and wheat and inheritance of resistance in oats - 1983 - Printed

Abstract only

When infected plants of five oat cultivars and lines were grown under low and high N regimes, Ill70-1297 was most resistant to barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV). BYDV-infected plants of 11 cultivars grown in the field had lower heightand grain yield than uninfected controls. Data from four crosses for four traitsindicated that inheritance of resistance to BYDV varied from year to year.
